Nate has a lot of nicknames - Nater Nater, Cutie Putootie, Monkey, Stinker...etc. However, I think "Two Foot" is Brandon's favorite term of endearment for Nate. It's of course referring to Nate's height.
Well, our little guy may only be about two feet tall but he's one perceptive and smart kiddo!!! He always seems to be doing something that surprises us. As an example, Nate grabbed his toy keys out of his toy basket the other day. He then walked over to our door and tried to stick them into the door knob. We never even realized that he knew what keys or doors were, let alone know that the palm-sized, plastic, colorful toys on a ring with sesame street characters on them were supposed to be keys and how they were supposed to be used on the door. We just thought it was so cute and amazing and took some pictures of the little guy at work. It might just be that we're proud, first time parents and are easily amazed but we're still very proud of our little guy.
He's also developed a new habit in the last few days. He's never liked to poop sitting down on his high chair or car seat but recently, if he gets an urge, he'll point down to the floor and express to us rather emphatically that he wants to get down from the chair. It doesn't matter if it's middle of eating, when he needs to go, he wants us to get him down and he usually gets to work relieving himself right away. He's always been pretty particular about his likes and dislikes but it's pretty funny and amusing to learn about this little guy's personality and mannerisms.
That's all for now! I have an update in my draft queue that I started in November but I hope to get that published soon!
